Internal Quality Control

When transporting pharmaceuticals, quality and regulatory compliance are essential. To ensure consistent performance, Whitley Logistics, Inc. follows a comprehensive set of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that apply to every aspect of our operations—from documentation to trailer sanitation schedules. Adhering to these procedures is one of the most important responsibilities of our staff and provides our clients with confidence that every shipment is handled with the same level of care and attention.

We conduct internal quarterly audits to evaluate performance and identify opportunities to refine our procedures further. This allows us to learn from past experiences and maintain very high operational standards. These internal audits also prepare us for external reviews, whether from clients or regulatory agencies such as the Department of Transportation (DOT).

We also maintain strict standards for our equipment. All trailers are calibrated every six months by ThermoKing, an authorized refrigerated service provider. Using a NIST-calibrated

thermometer, they verify that reefer unit temperature readings are accurate to within ±1°C. In addition, trailers are validated every three years by a qualified auditor. Validation includes heat-up and cool-down studies, capacity testing with various load conditions, and empty load evaluations—giving us a clear understanding of how each trailer performs under different circumstances.

External Quality Control

Whitley Logistics, Inc. recognizes that strong external quality control is vital to ensuring a safe transportation environment for your temperature-sensitive products. Many of the materials we transport are lifesaving, which requires the highest level of care and expertise.

We are currently European Union (EU) certified through Germany, holding a two-year certification—the longest duration awarded to logistics providers. During our most recent audit (July 2010), we received outstanding remarks for our consistency, procedures, and overall quality.

We also work closely with our clients to meet their individual requirements. Many customers have customized SOPs tailored to their specific needs, and we welcome client audits at any time. Our records, processes, and procedures consistently exceed expectations. We have never received a poor audit result, and we take pride in the thoroughness and dedication that make this possible.
